Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes what personal data EaseToLearn collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how EaseToLearn Solutions Private Limited (“EaseToLearn”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operating the EaseToLearn platform, website at easetolearn.com and mobile applications (together, the “Platform”), collects and processes your personal data. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), EaseToLearn is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data.
Registered office: 706–707, Westend Mall, Janakpuri, West Delhi, Delhi 110058, India.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal data we process about visitors, registered learners, parents and guardians, and school users of the Platform. By “personal data” we mean any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data. Where we process data on behalf of a school under a written agreement, that school may be the Data Fiduciary and its own privacy notice may also apply.
3. What personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need to provide and improve our services:
- Identity & contact data: full name, email address, telephone number, postal address.
- Account data: login credentials, course enrolments, the school or institution you are associated with, and your date of birth or age (used to determine whether you are a minor).
- Learning data: test attempts, scores, progress, contributions and forum activity.
- Payment data: billing name and contact details. Card and bank details are collected directly by our payment partners (see section 7); we do not store full card or bank-account numbers.
- Technical & usage data: device, browser, IP address, and usage analytics collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 9).
- Communications: messages you send us and your communication preferences.
4. How we use your personal data
We process your personal data for the following specified purposes:
- To create and manage your account and deliver the courses and services you sign up for.
- To process payments and send transaction confirmations, invoices and account notices.
- To respond to your queries and provide customer and technical support.
- To maintain, secure and improve the Platform, and for internal analytics.
- With your consent, to send you updates, offers and information about our courses by email, SMS, WhatsApp or phone (see section 6).
- To comply with applicable law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. Our legal basis: your consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give us, or for certain legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act (such as the service you have requested). At or before the point of collection we provide a notice describing the personal data sought, the purposes, how you can exercise your rights, and how to complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Where we rely on consent, it is sought through a clear affirmative action and is specific to the stated purpose.
6. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it. You can manage your communication preferences in your account settings, use the unsubscribe link in our emails, or write to us at the contact in section 16. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and we may be unable to provide parts of the service that depend on the data concerned.
Marketing communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp, phone) are sent only where you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymise it.
| Type of data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Active account & learning data | While your account is active |
| After account closure / inactivity | Up to 3 years, then deleted or anonymised, unless law requires longer |
| Payment & tax records | As required by tax and company law (up to 8 years) |
| Marketing preferences | Until you withdraw consent |
| Incomplete / abandoned sign-ups | Deleted after [12–24] months of inactivity |
10. How we protect your data
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational security measures—such as access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access—to protect your personal data against loss, theft, and unauthorised access, use, disclosure or modification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our safeguards regularly.
11. Where your data is processed
Our servers are located in India. Some of our service providers (for example, analytics and email) may process data outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only in accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable restrictions, and require providers to protect it under contract.
12. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer needed.
