CLAT Exam Details Overview 2027
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 is a national-level law entrance examination conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by participating National Law Universities across India. The examination is conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode and serves as the gateway to 5-year integrated LL.B. programmes and LL.M. programmes in the participating NLUs.
For CLAT 2027, the Consortium comprises 25 member NLUs, while NLU Delhi continues to conduct admissions through AILET. In addition to the participating NLUs, several leading private law universities and institutions across India also accept CLAT scores for admission to their law programmes. The centralized counselling process conducted by the Consortium facilitates seat allotment for approximately 3,700+ UG seats and 1,400+ PG seats across the participating institutions, making CLAT one of the most competitive law entrance examinations in the country.

CLAT Exam Important Dates 2027
The CLAT application form for 2027 was made available on July 22, 2027 by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).Last date to apply for CLAT 2027 application form is October 31, 2027. Earlier, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) had made some modification to the CLAT 2027 syllabus. In CLAT 2027, there will be 120 questions. CLAT 2027 examination will be held on December 6, 2026, in offline mode.

Candidates who are taking their qualifying exams in March or April of 2027 are also eligible to take the CLAT 2027 exam. Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill out the application form of CLAT 2027.
•Registration: Visit the CLAT Official web site or click on the link consortiumofnlus.ac.in
•To register, enter your name, email id, mobile number, and other details.
•Log in to the website exploitation the mobile number and password.
•Fill in relevant details for CLAT: Here enter personal, academic, and contact details.
•You must also choose your programme of study (UG or PG) and enter your top-choice NLUs in that order from a drop-down menu.
