MH CET Law Exam Details Overview 2026

The MH CET LAW exam is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admissions to law courses offered at participating law colleges in Maharashtra. The exam is held for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses.

For the 5-year LLB course, candidates need to have passed their Senior Secondary School Examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate, while SC/ST category candidates need 40% marks. The 3-year LLB course requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates.

The exam pattern consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 120 multiple-choice questions, and there's no negative marking. The questions are divided into sections like Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, General Knowledge with Current Affairs, English, and Mathematical Aptitude for the 5-year LLB course.

The application process for the 3-year LLB program has already begun, and candidates can apply until January 23, 2026. The exam dates for 3-year LLB are scheduled for April 01 and 02, 2026, and for 5-year LLB, it's on May 8, 2026.
