NIFT Entrance Exams Eligibility Criteria 2026
FOR NIFT BACHELOR PROGRAMME (B.Des.) – DESIGN
Age Limit -
The age criteria for the NIFT B.Des program in 2026 are as follows:
- The candidate should be less than 24 years of age as of August 1, 2025, to be considered for admission to the B.Des program.
- There is a relaxation in the upper age limit of five years for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories.
Educational Qualification –
As per the official NIFT 2026 Admission Guidelines, the educational qualifications for the B.Des program are:
- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from CBSE/ State Board or any recognized Board. There is no minimum marks requirement for the 10+2 exam.
OR
- Candidates who have completed a 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible for admission to the B.Des program.
OR
- A passing score in at least five subjects on the National Open School Senior Secondary School Examination.
OR
- Any public school, board, or university examination that is recognised as being equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities, whether it is conducted in India or abroad.
OR
- A level Advanced General Certificate Education (GCE) examination offered in London, Cambridge, and Sri Lanka; also known as the International Baccalaureate (IB).
FOR NIFT BACHELOR PROGRAMME (B.FTech.) – TECHNOLOGY
Age Limit -
The age criteria for the NIFT B.FTech program in 2026 are as follows:
- The candidate should be less than 24 years of age as of August 1, 2025, to be considered for admission to the B.FTech program.

NIFT Entrance Exams Final Selections 2026
